Supporting communities that work.
Our Priorities
Thank you for inviting me into your homes. I am learning more about what you think should be a priority for your Senator.  As you share your concerns, the below list will grow and change.

  1. Local Jobs
No other issue tops the list for every group. Local jobs provide the economic foundation for a healthy community. There needs to be a concerted strategy to make District 7 an attractive place for entrepreneurs and larger businesses alike.
  2. Healthcare
Whether somebody is growing their family or in the midst of a drug addiction crisis, access to affordable healthcare is paramount to our security and quality of life. Medicaid expansion provides coverage to 50,000 in NH; 3,000 of which are our neighbors in District 7.
  3. Quality Education
We need to fully fund the State's commitment to our local communities to help us provide full day kindergarten and close the opportunity gap.
  4. Living Wage
NH has looked towards DC for far too long to tell them what is a livable wage for NH. Since when does DC know more about us than we do? Let's work together to find out what makes sense to pay our hard working family and neighbors.
  5. Gun Saftey
We can ensure our 2nd Amendment rights are protected while also enacting common ground violence prevention measures. As a gun owner, I understand how hunting, sport and self-defense is integral to NH life for so many. As a concerned citizen, I see the need for safety measures that will keep weapons out of the hands that want to do harm.
  6. Right to Work Laws
We should be supporting our union brothers and sisters, not scheming to break the bonds that have brought our country safe working places, livable wages, and a host of valued benefits.
  7. Outdoor Space
NH's greatest physical asset is our access to breathtaking views, outdoor space, fresh forest air and clean water. As our cities like Franklin pivot to rebranding themselves as outdoor recreation venues, there is not only improved life value, but also long term economic value in preserving as well as enhancing this precious commodity that our southern neighbors have lost.
  8. Reduce Property Tax Burden
Have you seen your property tax go up or down in the last two years? As a small state we need to be smart about our revenue generation and expenditures. Our towns/cities can no longer afford the continual downshifting of expenses. SB 193 is perfect example of how Concord is out of touch with the stretched thin budgets at the local level.
  9. Women's Health
We need a concerted effort to make healthcare more accessible to women including cancer screening, prenatal care and reproductive planning services. Part of the health network includes funding Planned Parenthood which is a major provider of women's healthcare in New Hampshire.
